Police have shut down a web service used by more than 2,000 criminals worldwide to launch and manage phishing attacks. 70,000 UK victims entered their details into LabHost's fraudulent sites.
LabHost obtained 480,000 card numbers, 64,000 PINs, and over one million passwords, with payments of nearly £1 million from criminal users. 800 users were warned post-disruption.
Crime as a service model like LabHost provides tools for cyber criminals. The platform offered phishing services through monthly subscriptions, used by numerous criminals globally.
