Karim Khan, chief prosecutor of the ICC, emphasized the urgency of issuing warrants against PM Netanyahu and others, stating any delay harms victim rights.
In his filings, Khan argued that the ICC has jurisdiction over Israeli nationals and urged judges to reject legal challenges, asserting that investigations by Israel do not suffice.
Khan indicated that there are reasonable grounds for believing that Netanyahu and other officials, along with Hamas leaders, bear responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Despite the escalating war and legal challenges, Khan stressed the importance of judicial processes in upholding international law standards to protect victims' rights.
