Gardai believe they know identities of two men who took part in attack on Cork house that left girl (12) seriously injured
Briefly

The 12-year-old was injured when a weapon was used to smash the glass panel of a door behind which she was sheltering. It is unclear if the weapon was thrown through the door or struck the girl in the head as it was being used to damage the fitting. The girl collapsed from the head injury and began to lose consciousness.
Gang members who attacked the house were armed with baseball bats, machetes and slash-hooks. They fled the scene on foot when they realized that the child had been seriously injured.
Detectives believe five masked men - several of whom are believed to have links to criminality in the Munster region - were tasked with carrying out the attack. While all were masked, gardaí believe they know the identities of at least two of those involved.
