"I can't believe that I allowed my insecurities to almost kill me," Ms Sword said, reflecting on her dangerous decision to purchase a weight loss injection online.
"It was a lot harder to get hold of Ozempic, so I didn't go down the conventional way of doing it," she explained, indicating the challenges people face in accessing legitimate medications.
"Because I had done it, I thought it was going to be OK," Ms Sword said, highlighting the dangerous assumption many may make about online purchases.
A spokesperson from Novo Nordisk said they are "in close dialogue with the MHRA to support patients against falsified products," emphasizing the need for vigilance.
