Cybersecurity teams face unparalleled pressure, but they're stepping up to the plate
Briefly

A recent study by Tines and IDC indicates that 88% of InfoSec leaders report their teams are exceeding targets, largely due to the integration of AI and automation. Despite staffing challenges and increased workload demands—72% feeling pressured to take on more—there's an overwhelming enthusiasm for AI. Most leaders are keen to utilize AI to reduce siloes across operations. Key AI applications in use include data manipulation and threat intelligence analysis. However, many express concerns over the training time required for their teams to effectively adopt these technologies.
Virtually all were enthusiastic about AI, with only one-in-twenty worried about their job. Notably, they want to see AI and automation eliminate business siloes.
If they were only able to use AI and automation to free up more time, 43% said they'd use it to focus more on security policy development.
