The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) twice concluded there was no realistic prospect of conviction against Mohamed Al Fayed regarding sex abuse claims made against him.
Following a BBC documentary, over 20 women have alleged that Mohamed Al Fayed raped or sexually assaulted them while they worked at Harrods.
Harrods’ current owners expressed being 'utterly appalled' by the allegations against Al Fayed and admitted that 'victims were failed'.
The CPS reviewed evidence from investigations into claims made in 2009 and 2015 but did not move forward with charges due to insufficient evidence.
