Describing the incident, Ms. Blair noted, 'As a young barrister when I was in court and we got the [restraining] order against the perpetrator, he followed me and pulled me down the stairs. I had to be rescued by the court staff.'
Blair expressed her deep sense of guilt over her client's tragic fate, stating, 'I felt guilty because my client went back to her abuser, and he killed her because she had nowhere else to go.'
