Brendon McCullum to take full control of England with white-ball coaching role
Briefly

Brendon McCullum will take full control of England's men's international teams from January, after agreeing to also assume white-ball duties and extending his contract until 2027.
McCullum has transformed England's red-ball fortunes since May 2022, achieving 19 wins out of 28 games. In contrast, the white-ball team's performance has lagged, leading to coaching changes.
Rob Key explained that merging distinct coaching roles is due to an easing schedule for England cricket, allowing better focus and alignment across all teams.
Marcus Trescothick, appointed interim coach of the white-ball team, will lead England against Australia domestically and later in the West Indies, paving the way for McCullum's full control.
