Berkeleyside's guidelines for opinion pieces for the Nov. 5 election
Briefly

For the Nov. 5 General Election, Berkeleyside will only publish one op-ed per candidate or ballot measure, prioritizing compelling and well-argued opinions.
Berkeleyside's opinion section aims to provide a platform for diverse perspectives while ensuring submissions are fact-based, linked, and favor local authors.
Submissions for op-eds must consist of 500 to 600 words, and should include the author's name, contact information, and one-line bio.
The deadline for op-ed submissions is Sept. 20, with publication starting Oct. 7 to align with early voting for the election.
