Volkswagen Group of America has initiated a recall for the 2019 Audi e-tron Quattro in the United States and Canada, impacting 206 vehicles in the U.S. and 12 in Canada.
The NHTSA Safety Recall Report highlighted that a faulty bolt connection may separate the brake pedal from the booster, leading to a failure in braking function unless the emergency system is used.
The Audi Product Safety Committee initiated the recall following reports of unusual brake noises and a thorough analysis conducted over several months, ultimately confirming the seriousness of the brake component issue.
Affected owners will be notified directly and will have their brake boosters replaced, with Audi also providing a reimbursement plan to those affected by the safety concern.
