This is "Spies Among Us," a text-driven game with live actors that takes place on the streets of Little Tokyo, transforming the neighborhood into a stage.
The game directs me around multiple locales in and around Japanese Village Plaza, making me hyper-aware of my surroundings and the people around me.
Told to move under a canopy of lanterns, I’m warned that any of those around me could be a participant, enhancing the immersive experience.
As I receive texts about my target’s location and description, the ordinary setting of Little Tokyo becomes charged with mystery and excitement.
