A cybersecurity researcher exposed a substantial, unsecured database containing login details for millions of users across major platforms like Facebook, Apple, and Microsoft. Unprotected and devoid of encryption, the database totaled over 184 million unique logins, including sensitive information linked to financial accounts and health platforms. Jeremiah Fowler reported that he verified numerous credentials with affected individuals. The database's origin remains unclear, but signs of infostealer malware raise concerns about ongoing cyber threats and individuals’ security.

"The database contained login and password credentials for a wide range of services, applications, and accounts, including email providers, Microsoft products, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Roblox, and many more."

"Fowler said there are clear signs that the exposed data has been harvested by some type of infostealer malware."
