The Grand Return of Homie Fest!
Briefly

After a six-year hiatus, Homie Fest VI returns on June 27-28 at Swan Dive, organized by Papi Fimbres. The festival focuses on DIY principles and community inclusivity, representing various marginalized artists, particularly BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+. The lineup features a diverse range of genres and identities with local Portland talent, and one act from Seattle. Although the festival traditionally has been free and outdoors, this year it faces challenges in securing a suitable venue for its attendees, reflecting the ongoing struggles in event organization post-pandemic.
"It's always been DIY. It's always been for the people, for the community. It's all about inclusivity: BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ Portland artists playing so many different kinds of music."
"Though not strictly featuring musicians of color and queers, Homie Fest VI is wildly diverse both in terms of identities represented and genres played."
