The Chamber of Commerce, which relied on collaboration with the city for financial backing, now bears the burden of the festival's expenses, which have surged significantly. Past inadequate funding resulted in losses in the last two years, leading to the decision to end the event. Despite the setback, the chamber is planning alternative events to continue promoting local businesses and tourism.
Without a strong partnership with the city, the cost of city-required services alone makes it impossible to produce a festival that meets the standards our community expects.
