This festival features multiple farms showcasing a remarkable array of tulips, including RoozenGaarde, which boasts about 200 types. The author attended on a weekday to avoid crowds, enjoying the stunning views, including a wooden Dutch windmill amid vibrant tulip fields and the backdrop of the Cascade Mountains. This local experience provided a delightful alternative to international travel.
After seeing the monthlong event referred to as "the Netherlands of the Northwest," I knew I had to visit the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
I started my journey at RoozenGaarde, which has about 200 types of tulips, and my first taste of the beauty to come.
