Kevin Morby played Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon, on May 20. Carrie Brownstein joined him onstage as a local hero and Portlandia star. Together they performed Sleater-Kinney’s 2005 classic “Modern Girl.” Brownstein later named her 2015 memoir after the song. Morby is touring to support his new album Little Wide Open, released on Dead Oceans earlier in the month. It is his first solo LP since 2022’s This Is a Photograph. The tour runs through mid-July across North America before continuing to Europe. Sleater-Kinney released Little Rope in 2024 and also issued Frayed Rope Sessions, a three-song EP with alternate versions of tracks from the album.
