After earning a doctorate in advanced urbanism from MIT, he had co-authored books on open source architecture and future city design with MIT professor Carlo Ratti. He works through Field States, which supports building and real estate projects by identifying strategic opportunities for adapting to change, with projects grounded in place and community.
