America at 250 - Before, Between, Beyond is a special exhibition celebrating the United States’ 250-year anniversary and highlighting contributions from Native American people, Western settlers, and modern history-makers. The exhibition is hosted at the Museum of Natural and Cultural History in Eugene and presents multiple voices that shaped Oregon. It connects where Oregon has been with where it is going, supported by museum collections that preserve diverse histories. The museum also hosts Oregon - Where Past is Present and Explore Oregon. Highlights include a woven drinking glass from the 1890s and an ink drawing on seal skin from the 1940s. Programming includes a fair housing expert panel focused on discriminatory practices and equitable housing, and a lecture on climate change and ecological diversity, emphasizing how collections preserve stories of human responses to crisis over thousands of years.
