The Oregon Public Utility Commission has authorized an electricity price increase of about 8.5% for all Pacific Power customers effective January 1, which is lower than the requested 12.9%.
While the 8.5% rate increase may seem significant, it is a result of careful regulatory review against a backdrop of rising operational costs and infrastructure needs in the energy sector.
