Dorothy Wegner was born in 1930 and spent her early life in St Helens before moving to Beaver Homes with her grandparents, eventually graduating from high school in Scappoose.
She began college at Oregon State College, where she not only studied home economics but also discovered her passion for bowling, which became a lifelong interest.
Dorothy married George Waggoner in 1950, and they had two daughters together, reflecting her strong family values, though their marriage ended in divorce in 1969.
Her upbringing, education, and family life shaped Dorothy’s outlook, cementing her connection to her roots in Oregon and her love for bowling.
