Pokemon TCG Pocket devs promise to eliminate the much loathed Trade Tokens
Briefly

Developers of Pokémon TCG Pocket have announced the elimination of the controversial Trade Token currency, replacing it with shinedust for trading. The update comes after significant player dissatisfaction with the current system, which required players to destroy duplicate cards to earn Trade Tokens, making valuable trades prohibitively expensive. This update is expected to enhance trading capabilities, allowing for greater flexibility and less financial burden on players. Two additional trading features are in development, which will aid in further improving the trading experience. However, the update is set to be implemented only by the end of autumn 2025.
Trade Token currency will be replaced with shinedust for a more player-friendly trading system, aimed at reducing frustration with in-game trades.
The update aims to enhance trading mechanics, allowing players to trade more cards without the previous costly restrictions and concerns.
