Growth may have slowed a bit overall, but that figure was still up about 1% for the same month a year ago.
Las Vegas Strip gaming revenue saw a 1% increase to $666.8 million after the area saw some major concert events for the month to bring in extra patrons.
These August gaming revenue totals could have been higher, but Gaming Commission officials believe some weather-related issues actually kept the month's growth down a bit.
