Hawkins' latest victory adds to his impressive resume, as he has repeatedly excelled in main events. His rival, Ari Engel, publicly congratulated him, acknowledging their friendly competition in achieving high accolades within the circuit.
"I feel like I am in a class of my own. No disrespect to Ari, I love the guy, but I am where I'm supposed to be," he told reporters after coming away with the win.
