Ladbrokes to pay out on six-figure bet Co Waterford stable lad Dylan Phelan placed a year ago
Briefly

Dylan Phelan placed a €30 bet on two long-shot horses trained by Declan Queally, expecting a payout of €319,440 after they won. However, a year passed without payment due to an ongoing investigation into the horses' performance by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB). Recently, Ladbrokes announced they would settle the bets while the investigation continues, indicating they are working with the IHRB to find a resolution. The nature of the investigation remains confidential, leaving Phelan and Queally uncertain about the terms being examined.
Mr Phelan believed he had won a life-changing payout of €319,440, but 12 months after he placed the bet he had yet to receive any payment.
We have now discussed this matter with the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) in order to seek a resolution as quickly as possible.
