GGPoker Cancels Online Poker Tournament Due To Technical Problems
Briefly

GGPoker's highly anticipated $150 GGMasters Anniversary event, with a $5 million prize pool guarantee, faced technical issues that compelled organizers to cancel the tournament. Originally scheduled for February 23, the event was postponed, but relaunched on March 2. However, Day 2 witnessed severe software glitches, including uneven table distributions. GGPoker opted to cancel the tournament after attempts to rectify the issues. Refunds were offered, but players expressed dissatisfaction regarding the adequacy of the compensation provided for the inconveniences experienced during both the initial postponement and eventual cancellation.
"After encountering further issues, the unfortunate decision has been made to cancel the tournament," GG noted on Twitter. "We understand the inconveniences for players throughout, and we sincerely apologize."
"Refunds (aren't) good enough," one player noted on Twitter. "What about the compensation on the time not over two days but the previous weekend. Not one person is happy with the refund, you still make rake, we as loyal players should expect better treatment."
