Stu Ungar, a three-time World Series of Poker champion, will have his compelling life story adapted for television or streaming by Eric and Geoff Roth. The Oscar-winning team is set to begin research and interviews for an authentic portrayal of Ungar, who was renowned in the poker world for his talent and aggressive style. His life, marred by drug abuse, ended tragically in 1998. With family involvement in the production, the project aims to honor Ungar's legacy while providing more depth to his narrative.
