Pitchfork Announces New Quarterly Zine
Briefly

The new editor of Pitchfork reflects on the importance of infusing the publication with the energy of independent music blogging, emphasizing authenticity, unsung talent, and genuine passion. This approach aims to highlight the voices of critics and emerging subcultures while maintaining a connection to the site's legacy. The editor feels a cover story should be more than just a glossy package; it should resonate personally and reflect the future of music. Notably, the Swedish rapper Bladee represents this vision, symbolizing the evolution of internet music and the cultural relevance that Pitchfork seeks to capture.
Last summer, I joined Pitchfork as its new editor from the world of 2020s independent music blogging.
One of my goals at Pitchfork has been to bring some of that bloggy energy to the site.
The way I see it, we've got such a big platform here; why not use it to get weird, spotlight genuinely unsung talent.
