Amazon Music introduced Topics, an AI-driven feature to easily discover related podcasts based on episode topics using transcriptions and descriptions.
Topics tags are generated by AI and human reviewers, allowing users to click on a tag beneath an episode description to find related podcast episodes.
The Topics feature is currently only available to U.S. customers on the latest Amazon Music app versions, expanding from 'top podcasts' to more.
Amazon aims to compete with Spotify by offering better personalized podcast recommendations using AI tools, as Spotify did with Google Cloud for improved suggestions.
