He spent time on the Steelers' coaching staff as a coaching intern in 2019 to break onto the coaching scene and was with Missouri State as their DB coach in 2020.
Along with Gay, former Steelers UDFA OL Darnell Stapleton was hired to Washington's staff as an assistant OL coach.
