Allegations include forcible fondling, striking his ex-girlfriend with a cement block, and strangulation. This arrest follows a previous incident in 2022 involving another assault attempt. Pitt has pleaded not guilty and was granted bail set at $100,000. The case brings to light ongoing issues of domestic violence and the impact of mental health on behavior.
The violent episodes occurred at the actor's Bushwick home with his then-girlfriend, law enforcement sources said.
The Hollywood vet then strangled his past lover on August 7, 2021, according to court documents.
In his latest scuffle with the law, Pitt was also charged with first-degree criminal sex act, third-degree criminal sex act, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of second-degree attempted assault, and second-degree strangulation.
Pitt was previously arrested in July 2022 and charged with assault and petty larceny for allegedly hitting another man multiple times and taking his phone.
