Ali Clark, the owner of Chadkirk dog sanctuary, expressed deep concern saying, 'I just can't cry anymore. I'm just desperate to try and find somewhere to save these dogs.' With an eviction notice looming, she emphasized the urgency and critical need for new premises, stating that 17 dogs were at risk of being put to sleep if a solution was not found within three weeks.
Clark elaborated on the difficulty many of the dogs face, mentioning, 'Some of the dogs are traumatised, while others have severe anxiety. These dogs can't go to anyone else, I know their quirks.' This highlights her commitment to the dogs and the unique challenges they present, reinforcing their need for a stable environment.
Describing the search for alternative locations, she said, 'We're hoping that someone, somewhere has got kennels that they're not using, or some buildings, or a redundant farm, something that we can make into our sanctuary.' Her plea emphasizes the urgent need for available safe spaces for these dogs.
Reflecting on her experience, Clark noted, 'I see the desperate need for sanctuary spaces, and people to take in dogs that have more issues than the average.' This illustrates the ongoing challenge of finding homes for dogs with severe behavioral problems and the growing demand for facilities catering to such animals.
