"Carl Crowther, one of Nora's owners, wrote on Facebook on Wednesday evening: We are delighted to announce that she was returned home safe and well. Obviously we are over the moon with this outcome. Crowther had previously said a large part of the family's distress was due to Nora having a heart murmur that required medication. He said they are not going into details regarding her return due to ongoing investigations but he thanked people who had shared his posts or helped in any way, who he said included neighbours, strangers and his local councillors."
"Amazon said it did not directly employ the driver, who worked for a subsidiary, but it was investigating the incident and had been in touch with police. Crowther claimed Amazon had done little to help him find Nora but had offered him money, which he said wasn't any good at this stage. He called the company's response disgusting and accused the company of trying to put a value on somebody's pet."
Nora the cat was taken from outside her family home by a delivery driver and has now been returned home safe. Doorbell footage appeared to show the driver picking up Nora after attempting to deliver a package in Elland, West Yorkshire. Owner Carl Crowther said Nora's return is welcomed and noted she has a heart murmur requiring medication. He thanked neighbours, strangers and local councillors who helped and said details of the return are withheld due to ongoing investigations. West Yorkshire Police are investigating. Amazon said the driver worked for a subsidiary and that it was investigating and liaising with police. Crowther criticised Amazon's response and its offer of money.
