"A kitten has been killed after being thrown from a moving car in southeast London. The tabby-and-white cat, which was less than six months old, was found at the junction of Burns Close and Chaucer Road in Welling shortly before 8pm on October 31. A witness saw the kitten being thrown from a dark-coloured car with a silver trim on the roof. They said the cat struggled to stand up on all fours after being thrown from the vehicle."
"The kitten must have been terrified as this was happening and this was clearly a tragic ending to this young cat's life."
"From what we've been told, it appears that the poor kitten was alive when it was allegedly thrown from the car, then possibly injured during the incident, and subsequently run over. "If someone no longer wants their pet, there are many safe and responsible options available - abandoning or harming an animal is never acceptable.""
A tabby-and-white kitten under six months old was found dead at the junction of Burns Close and Chaucer Road in Welling shortly before 8pm on October 31. A witness reported seeing the kitten thrown from a dark-coloured car with a silver trim on the roof, and observed the cat struggling to stand after being thrown. The RSPCA called the discovery really distressing and asked anyone with doorbell or camera footage to get in touch. The kitten was not microchipped and its sex is unclear. Rescuers said the animal appeared alive when thrown and may have subsequently been run over. The RSPCA reiterated that abandoning or harming animals is unacceptable and urged responsible rehoming options.
