Kitten dies after being thrown from moving car
"The kitten must have been terrified as this was happening and this was clearly a tragic ending to this young cat's life."
"From what we've been told, it appears that the poor kitten was alive when it was allegedly thrown from the car, then possibly injured during the incident, and subsequently run over."
"If someone no longer wants their pet, there are many safe and responsible options available - abandoning or harming an animal is never acceptable."
A tabby-and-white kitten aged under six months was discovered fatally injured at the junction of Burns Close and Chaucer Road in Welling at about 19:40 GMT on 31 October. A witness reported seeing the animal thrown from a dark-coloured car with silver roof trim and later struggling to stand on its hind legs after landing. The kitten was likely struck by a vehicle, leaving its sex unclear, and it was not microchipped. An RSPCA rescue officer attended the scene. Authorities are seeking local doorbell or camera footage to assist the investigation.
