"Authorities are seeking to identify a person or people believed to have abandoned five dogs in unkept condition over several days. Animal Services located and took in five similar dogs over a 72-hour period, according to a Saturday social media post from the Fremont Police Department. The dogs are all about 4 years old and none have identification. They appear to be small, fluffy breeds, according to photos."

Five small, fluffy dogs, each about four years old and without identification, were located and taken in by Animal Services over a 72-hour period. The animals were found in multiple locations including Irvington Park, under a vehicle on North Grimmer Boulevard, and near Quarry Lakes. Authorities described the circumstances as particularly unusual and believe the dogs may have originated from the same person. A sixth dog was reported at large near Quarry Lakes and efforts are underway to find it. All animals are currently safe and receiving appropriate care and medical attention.
