"An investigation is ongoing to determine who allegedly dumped the canine, police said. The terrier mix was taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment after enduring "six days of exposure to the elements, including below-freezing temperatures and nearly two feet of snow," police said in another Facebook post Tuesday. "The outpouring of support for the dog has been truly incredible," police said, adding that community members offered to cover veterinary costs, donate supplies, and even adopt the dog."
