Decapitated animal remains found in Fremont

Fremont police were contacted about 2:30 p.m. Sunday by Amtrak police who found what appeared to be a decapitated and eviscerated animal that was left on a park bench.
In the investigation, authorities found a second animal that appeared to be decapitated, alongside bags containing animal intestines or internal organs.
Police have not yet determined what species the animals were and have contacted a forensic veterinarian for assistance.
