Cat rescued after nine days stuck in tree: 'It was so overwhelming'
Briefly

Raza Ayub's cat, Snowy, a two-year-old Maine Coon, was accidentally taken to a landfill when she jumped into a neighbor's car. After escaping into nearby woods, Snowy spent up to nine days up a tree before her family, who had put up posters and appealed for help, finally located her. A tree surgeon was called to rescue her after she refused to come down. The family was overjoyed to have her back, expressing their relief and happiness after the ordeal.
Raza and his daughter Aila, nine, from Bradford, Yorkshire, appealed for help on local Facebook groups and put up 50 posters.
The feline refused to come down - so was helped to the ground by a tree surgeon, on March 31.
It was so overwhelming to know we would be taking her home again at last.
