Banning some dog breeds in the UK won't stop attacks on humans

Dog bans are back on the discussion table, with Suella Braverman declaring American bully XL dogs are a clear and lethal danger to our communities, particularly to children.
According to Bully Watch, pit bull-related breeds have been responsible for 351 attacks this year alone. However, trying to pin aggression on specific breeds is fraught with difficulty, scientists say.
In one recent study, researchers compared behavioral tendencies between dog breeds legislated against and breeds that are not. Breed alone was a poor predictor of individual behavioral tendencies.
