La Forêt Secrète, created by chef Jean Imbert, recently opened at Disneyland Paris, offering a menu inspired by beloved Disney films. Featuring dishes like 'Under the Sea' from The Little Mermaid and 'Prince Ali's Tajine' from Aladdin, the restaurant combines gastronomic creativity with nostalgia. Desserts include imaginative interpretations like the 'Lost Ark Shortbread'. Open three evenings a week, La Forêt Secrète provides two gourmet menu options at elevated pricing, aiming to make Disney's culinary magic both recognizable and subtle for a unique dining experience.
The dishes have to be both highly recognizable and very subtle," Imbert told Travel + Leisure.
The theatrically-styled dishes Imbert has brought to life include Under the Sea, a langoustine, shellfish, and caviar sprinkled appetizer inspired by The Little Mermaid.
Diners can order the basil and caviar lime Enchanted Apple, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, if they dare.
Imbert revisited his favorite Disney films, alongside memories of childhood visits to the theme park just outside the French capital, to create a gastronomic menu.
