Moving from the US to France was challenging for me as I constantly compared my new life with my old one. An expat friend's advice to stop comparing became a turning point in my adjustment process. Over four years, along with finding gratitude and welcoming my experiences in France, I learned to appreciate the changes brought by my new environment. I realized that adjustment takes time and that's perfectly normal, allowing me to embrace my life in France more fully.
You can't compare.
