Devin and Mike prepared two name sets for newborn twin daughters but could not decide which baby would carry the name honoring their first daughter, Rose. Rose had been diagnosed with Trisomy 18 and passed at 18 weeks gestation. After subsequent miscarriages, the couple experienced spontaneous twin pregnancy and learned the twins were healthy on the anniversary of Rose's passing. The couple decided one twin would be named Charlee Rose and the other Abigail (Abby) Reese, and they let their 2-year-old daughter Dylan visit the babies in the hospital and choose each sister's name immediately.
