People under 50 without kids are three times more likely than older childless people to say they can't afford to have them, according to Pew Research Center.
While many cite financial reasons, the top reason for not having kids among the under-50 group is that they simply don't want to.
The cost of living, including housing, child care, and health expenses, is causing younger generations to reconsider having children.
