More & More Parents Only Want To Host Sleepovers - But Won't Send Their Kids To One
Briefly

Sleepovers, once a cherished childhood tradition, are now viewed with skepticism by many parents due to concerns about safety and trust. An instance was highlighted on Reddit, where a user questioned the fairness of a double standard in parenting regarding sleepovers, leading to extensive discussions. Some parents expressed frustration, feeling they are expected to care for other children during the day while being denied the same trust for overnight stays. The debates reveal a significant shift in how families approach social interactions for children amidst fears of potential dangers.
The sleepover thing annoys me a great deal. I'm a SAHM and a handful of parents have made it clear to me that they're OK with me doing free babysitting for their kids during the day, but don't trust me enough to send them for sleepovers.
I absolutely won't do them unless the parent will let their kid sleep at our place. If not? Respect to them- we have the same beliefs and rules.
