"I am not sure why is this not an option although it is extremely critical. we have been able to achieve this in the classic version using java scripting, however, the new captivate does not allow for. Currently we have the navigation so it will pause, go to next slide or previous, or play. But we need more to be able to go back and forth within the slide on the time line."
New Captivate does not provide a scroll line or timeline scrub control to move a few seconds backward or forward within a slide. The absence of fine within-slide seeking is critical for review and precise navigation. Classic Captivate allowed the behavior to be implemented with JavaScript, but the new Captivate environment does not permit the same solution. Current navigation options are limited to pause, play, next slide, or previous slide. The lack of intra-slide scrubbing reduces user control and makes fine-grained playback navigation impossible without an exposed API or built-in scrub feature.
