The Walrus has announced Kayla Thompson as the CIBC Digital Fellow for Emerging Black Journalists, supported by CIBC for the third consecutive year. This fellowship offers a paid, twelve-month opportunity, emphasizing mentorship and development within digital journalism. It aims to provide Black emerging journalists with essential tools and networking to foster their careers. Kayla expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, which she sees as a platform for contributing to Canada’s media landscape.
