Individual Advocacy Group turns 30: Celebrating a legacy of advocacy and change
Briefly

The Individual Advocacy Group (IAG) celebrates 30 years of aiding individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex needs. Founded by Drs. Charlene A. Bennett and David Brooks, IAG was born out of a need for wraparound services for children facing traumatic backgrounds in the welfare system. The organization employs a holistic approach, ensuring personalized advocacy and support for each individual. Despite challenges in transitioning young adults from traditional services, IAG remains committed to empowering them to thrive within their communities and lead meaningful, independent lives.
Individual Advocacy Group has consistently believed in the dignity and worth of every individual, ensuring they receive respect and support to lead independent lives.
The demand for wraparound services for children in the welfare system led to the establishment of the Individual Advocacy Group, which addresses complex needs with tailored solutions.
