The Community Organizer Summit at PyCon US invites local meet-up leaders, conference organizers, and peer workshop facilitators to engage in discussions about their experiences in organizing Python communities. Set for May 17th, the summit will feature a keynote address and opportunities for informal discussions. The following day will host the PSF & Meetups Discussion, intended to spark collaboration among Python organizers globally. Even those new to organizing are encouraged to join. Previous meetups have fostered community, and this year aims to formalize and expand these efforts.
We're looking to make this year's PyCon US session into a jumping off point for a global conversation that we hope to see happen regularly.
If you're attending PyCon US this year and you run a local Python meet-up, help organize a regional conference, or facilitate peer learning, we hope you will join us.
Community organizer meetups have been happening casually at PyCon US and EuroPython for years, and this year aims to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Our Community Organizer Summit will include a keynote and informal discussions, encouraging new ideas and connections among those involved in organizing Python communities.
