Building a Mobile-First Community to Meet Members Where They Are
Briefly

Community Food Navigator, launched in 2020, aims to establish a food system grounded in justice, prioritizing the empowerment of Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. Their mission focuses on expanding food sovereignty by fostering engagement among food growers, producers, and educators in the Chicago area. Rather than providing a generic tool, they ensured their members had ongoing ownership of this new digital space, culminating in the development of a mobile-first app tailored to the community's needs.
