Arizona and Indiana Update BEAD Progress

Arizona and Indiana have announced updates on their BEAD Programs, which focus on expanding broadband access. Arizona has received $993 million and received 147 applications from broadband service providers aiming to connect over 162,000 underserved locations. Meanwhile, Indiana, awarded $868 million, has allocated funds to extend coverage to over 90,000 locations, utilizing all-fiber technology. It has already allocated 40% of its funding in the first round and plans to distribute remaining funds in subsequent rounds, while also supporting additional connectivity projects across the state.
Arizona has pledged $993 million in BEAD funding, promising broadband access to over 162,000 underserved locations through Round 1 applications submitted by various providers.
The Indiana Broadband Office announced $868 million in BEAD funding, with preliminary awards covering over 90,000 locations using fiber technology, securing 70% of eligible areas.
Indiana's projects under the BEAD Program include more than 400 projects awarded to 24 providers, with an average subsidy of $3,700 per passing for all-fiber technology.
In addition to BEAD, Indiana Connectivity Program awarded over $1.6 million to enhance broadband access in 40 counties, backed by provider matched funding of over $6 million.
